Caraway
Caraway is thought to be one of the oldest spices used in Northern Europe. The seeds of the plant have been found in human settlements dating from the Stone Age. Commonly used as a digestive aid, it is appreciated for its anti-flatulent properties, whilst assisting with heartburn, colic, loss of appetite and dispelling parasites. It is also used for its antihistaminic, antimicrobial, antiseptic, and antispasmodic qualities.
